Aspen Institute Turns 75

Celebrating this milestone with a unique nod to Aspen's roots.

For 75 years, the Aspen Institute has held & shaped conversations that inspire change. Drawing from its historical roots, the proposed design reflects the Institute’s foundational values while embracing a modern, future-forward approach. The result is a visual identity that bridges the Institute’s storied past with its ever-evolving future.

Bringing back Bauhaus.

Herbert Bayer's 1924 Poster Design for Newspaper Kiosk (pictured left), served as the inspiration for this design. Bayer was an influential figure in the Bauhaus movement of the 1900's. He was also the Aspen Institute's very first artist in residence. Bayer's legacy is a cornerstone of the Institute's visual identity and architectural presence. It was important to reflect his work in the logo for this historic anniversary.
